Using The Engine Shutdown plugin

Describes how to create and save Jobs using the Engine Shutdown plugin.

Procedure

1. Start Spoon by navigating to your Kettle directory and running spoon.bat, cancel any sign on to a Repository.
   Note: the Engine Shutdown plugin is only available as a Job Step; it is not available as a Transformation Step plugin.
2. Create a new Job. Click File > New > Job.
3. In the Design tab, select the General Category, select the Start task and drag it to the Job panel.
4. In the Design tab, select the Category, select Engine Shutdown Plugin and drag it to the Job panel.
5. Link the Start task to the Engine Shutdown Plugin.
6. In the Design tab, select the General Category, select the Success task and drag it to the Job panel.
7. In the Design tab, select the General Category, select the Dummy task and drag it to the Job panel.
8. Save the Job.
